Early Childhood Education

Our Early Childhood Education Program is a multi-cultural therapeutic pre-school program that serves children ages 16 months to 5 years, with a focus on helping each child develop healthy social, self regulation, and developmental skills as well as academic kindergarten readiness skills. We offer two half-day classes for toddlers and pre-schoolers (8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m.).

Some components of this program include:

  • Extremely small class sizes
  • Low staff-child ratios (never more than 1:4)
  • Multi-lingual and multi-cultural staff
  • Nutritious meals and snacks
  • Recreational and educational field trips
  • Materials such as artwork, music, books and food from African American, Native American, Somali, Latino and other cultures to ensure that all children see their culture reflected in the classroom
  • Weekly family events to provide free family activities and encourage parent involvement
  • Free transportation
  • Special services like occupational therapy, speech therapy, and individual play sessions for children with additional needs
