Join SSFNC and local musician, Mayyadda, for Hooked on Equity: Futures Rising, a celebration of 49-years of work to advance health and education equity across race and income in South Minneapolis.   

Come enjoy uplifting music by local singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mayyadda.

There will be a short presentation inviting you to invest in Southside Family Nurturing Center’s unique dual-generation model.

A light lunch is included in the ticket price and there will be a cash bar. Children 12 and under are free with an adult.

The event will be held outside under the canopy, weather permitting.

Ready for Kindergarten

In August, seven students in the Bobcat Classroom graduated to kindergarten! We wish them and their families well on their next chapters. We know that the foundation built in their time at Southside Family Nurturing Center will set them up for success in the years ahead.

New School Year, New Play Yard

Three very generous donors made gifts to fund the laying of turf on our play yard. At the same time, new gross-motor elements were added including tires and these log discs pictured above. The turf will be much more durable and easy to maintain than grass given the wear and tear of children playing on it daily. It also has a special layer to cushion minor falls. The children are clearly enjoying their new play yard! We are grateful for the generosity that made this upgrade possible.
